Gr.5s Paint Wish Boxes for Children’s Wish

Our Grade 5 students worked with the Children’s Wish Foundation to paint “wish boxes” for sick children.

Yorkie dad Nigel Stewart reached out and shared this opportunity to work with Children’s Wish, and our Grade 5 classes were excited to participate! On Wednesday, February 1, two representatives from Children’s Wish, Lindsay Barnett and Esther Shoop, spoke to the girls about the Foundation. Our girls then painted personalized boxes for the wish recipients.

Children’s Wish is a Canadian service that grants sick children special wishes. When Children’s Wish grants a wish, they put together a special box that they then give to the child. The boxes are individually hand painted for each child.
