Junior Tigers Update: June 13, 2019

As the school year nears a close, it is a good time to reflect on the year that was for our Junior School Athletics. The past year saw excellent participation numbers in each of the three terms. Term 1 – 150 students, Term 2 – 120 students, and Term 3 – 170 students. In all, we had around 75% of our students participating on our school teams. Way to go, York House!

Each year we offer opportunities for our students to enter the competitive arena. Some activities culminate in a season-ending ISEA Playday, while others will end with the ISEA Tournament or Championship. This past year saw the Tigers hoist banners in the following sports: Gr. 7A Volleyball, Cross-Country Running, and Swimming. Congratulations to all of those athletes and coaches.

We are currently building the practice schedule for next year. The 2019-20 school year will offer the same opportunities as this year: Cross-Country Running (Gr. 3-7), Volleyball (Gr. 5-7), Swimming (Gr. 3-7), Basketball (Gr. 5-7), Track & Field (Gr. 3-7), and Ultimate (Gr. 5-7). See you in the Fall.

Go Tigers Go!
