Team Pacific Elite Wins Minnesota Meltdown

Grade 9 YHS student Danielle has been playing rep hockey for many years. She won a silver medal at the BC Provincial finals in 2010 on her Rep Tier 4 Boy’s team, and also won a Silver medal at BC Provincial Finals in 2011 on her Tier 1 Girl’s Bantam team.

This spring she was again invited to play with Team Pacific Elite, a provincial girl’s high level hockey team made up of some of the best players from the Lower Mainland, Prince George, Kelowna, and Vancouver Island. Team Pacific competed in the Minnesota Meltdown Tournament April 27 – 29th 2012, and and won the Gold medal game 2-1!

Blazer Exchange

On Monday, April 30th we had a special assembly in honour of Blazer Exchange.

This is where the current student executive “passes the torch” to the incoming 2012-13 executive (There is no literal exchanging of blazers).

The assembly provides a chance for the the current executive to reflect on their year, thank their team and give words of advice to their successors. Gifts were exchanged, some tears were shed, and the morning concluded with the exec’s final (and funny!) skit of the year.
