Laura Edwards Awarded Giving Hearts Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser

Laura Edwards, Executive Director, Advancement: AFP Vancouver Outstanding Fundraising ProfessionalWe are delighted to share with you some exciting news regarding our own Laura Edwards, Executive Director of Advancement.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, National Philanthropy Day, Laura was awarded the 2015 Giving Hearts Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser by the Vancouver Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. A crowd of 880 people from various corporations and charitable organizations attended the annual event, including several members of our community who were there to celebrate this achievement with Laura.

In Laura’s 18 years at York House, she has worked tirelessly and has made a tremendous contribution to helping to raise the funds needed to build our beautiful new Senior School, establishing a thriving annual fund and creating a true culture of giving within our York House School community. Nicole, Gr. 11, won the top prize at the Sanofi BioGENEius Challenge Canada last year, and went on to compete at the International BioGENEius Challenge at the end of June 2014.
