York House will be hosting 11 other teams this week for the 14th annual 26th St. Tournament.
YHS Game Times:
Thursday – 2:15 vs AAA#8 Claremont (Tigers 63 Claremont 46)
Friday – 12:30 vs AAA#9 South Kamloops (Tigers 67 Kamloops 60)
Saturday – 12:30 vs AAA#4 Oak Bay (Tigers Win!)
Classes are wlecome to come. Please enter through the North – West door.
$2 admission for this year’s event to help raise money for a worthy case. $9,300 was raised in total for Tessa Beauchamp Memorial Foundation.
Gr. 12 Senior Tiger, Cherub L. officially committed to the UBC Thunderbirds for her university academic and basketball career.
Cherub is one of the most sought after point guards in Canada and literally could have chosen any school in the country. Word is, the UBC coaching staff ran through the halls of UBC athletic dept. celebrating Cherub’s decision!
The coaches at YHS could not be more proud of Cherub. For her hard work, her maturity and character and we are thrilled to be able to follow Cherub’s career so closely.
Congratulations, Cherub!
This is remarkable for YHS. Our two point guards have signed with UBC (Cherub) and NCAA div 1 Pepperdine (Alisha R.)
And there may even be another Tiger or two committing to university basketball programs in the coming weeks.
