York House Senior School Receives Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Award in Architecture

York House Senior School was recognized with a Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Award in Architecture at the 2016 AIBC Architectural Awards Reception held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on May 18, 2016. Head of School, Chantal Gionet, accepted this award together with Mark Ostry and Russell Acton of Acton Ostry Architects.

Each year, the Architectural Institute of British Columbia showcases (AIBC) the best in architecture from the AIBC community through its awards program. York House Senior School has previously been recognized with a Best of Canada Award for interior design and a City of Vancouver Urban Design Award.

York House School Senior School has received a 2016 Architizer A+ Special Mention Award in the Primary and High School category and has advanced to the longlist for the 2016 WAN AWARDS in the Education sector.

The Architizer A+ Awards program is the world’s largest architectural awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture. The World Architecture News Awards WAN Awards is the world’s largest awards programme in international architecture.
