Thank you to our parent volunteers for organizing another successful Holiday Market! There were homemade latkes, baked treats, books, toys, stationery, and handmade gifts. All the girls and parents were in an incredibly festive mood and had great fun shopping and enjoying the holiday treats. Thank you to everyone who helped us to be more sustainable by bringing their own mugs and reusable shopping bags! Happy Holidays everyone!
Sixty members of the Senior School choir under the direction of music teacher, Benila Ninan, participated in the 6th annual Alumnae Carol Service with St. John Shaughnessy’s Church choir on Thursday, December 5. A highlight of the service was the YHS Choir singing Carol of the Bells by Mykola Leontovych. Alumnae from 2004 to 1955, honorary alumnae, former and current YHS staff, and parents of choir members joined with the St. John’s Shaughnessy community to sing favourite carols and enjoy the beauty of seasonal choral pieces by both choirs. The evening closed with a festive reception generously provided by the St. John’s Shaughnessy Church community.
