Congrats to the Grade 7 Graduates

Congratulations to our Grade 7 graduates. These girls were honoured in a ceremony on Thursday, June 22, followed by a dinner dance that same evening.

These incredible girls are now ready for the Senior School!

Parent and Filmmaker Raul Inglis has been filming these girls over the years. The end result is a wonderful feature-length documentary, which every family received a copy of at the Grade 7 Banquet. Below are two clips from the documentary. Thank you to Mr. Inglis for filming, and for editing the footage over the last few months. The end result is something that the girls will forever cherish.

Gr. 7 Civilizations STEAM Project

The Grade 7s wrapped up their year with a culminating project that integrated Social Studies with Language Arts, Math, Science, and Art.

Working collaboratively in pairs, the girls created a civilization from the ground up. They chose an area in the world for their people to settle, investigated the natural features and resources, built a 3-D physical and resource map, wrote a myth and drew an image to represent it, created a flag, and designed a technology to solve a problem in their society. The maps and technologies were created with the help of Ms. Sharpe, our STEAM Coordinator.

The girls showed incredible creative and critical thinking skills, enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment to complete this cross-curricular project! They proudly showed their work to students, teachers, and parents at an afternoon of sharing on June 21.
