Junior School Musicals

Each class in the Junior School participated in a musical production. This experience allows the girls to use their bodies, voices, and instruments to express a story. The girls also work together as a team to collaborate on the production.

The girls truly put a heartfelt effort into preparing for their musicals, and they were absolutely delightful to watch!

Grade 1Y and 1H put on “A Garden Tale”; Grade 2 took us through the “Amazing Salmon Journey”; 3H performed “Sum of Our Problems: A Musical, Mathematical Solution”; 3Y put on “The Cheese Stands Alone”; and Grade 4 took us to “The Gold Rush Mystery”.

Gr. 1 Beach Cleanup & Exploration

On June 16th, as part of our “Wild in the City” inquiry, both Grade 1 classes participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Jericho Beach. The Shoreline Cleanup is a conservation initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF-Canada, aiming to promote the understanding of shoreline litter issues. It is an excellent way for us to connect the girls with a positive experience that builds environmental stewardship. By participating in the Shoreline Cleanup, we help to ensure that harmful items are removed from our shorelines and end up in the appropriate waste disposal or recycling facilities. The girls were taught how to pick-up and dispose of litter safely and appropriately.

We are also thrilled that Ms. Robin led us on a special beach and park exploration at Jericho Beach as part of this outdoor education experience. We learned about the sensitive beach ecosystems that are a major part of our city.
