So we didn’t get the snow day that the girls were so hoping for (and in some cases chanting for)! However, this didn’t stop our students from getting out there to enjoy winter this week. I frankly don’t know how they do it – many of us in the Senior School building are huddling over our portable heaters!
Ms. Broadfoot snapped these lovely photos – enjoy!
Pajama parties, treats, Christmas movies, dancing and lots of caroling marked the end of Term 2, and the start of the Winter Break. The last day is always a fun one!
At the Junior School assembly, the teachers planned a dance routine to “Deck the Rooftop” from the Glee Christmas album, and jumped up in the aisles to perform it “flash mob” style. The girls loved it! For the finale, the teachers came up on stage and taught the girls the dance moves so they could join in. The girls also performed their own routine to a French Christmas song. The Senior School began their assembly with the lighting of four candles, a poem reading, as well as a Christmas reading by Mr. Scott Robertson, followed by the grad song and caroling.
