On December 10, Yorkies, staff, family and friends gathered at the Chan Centre for the annual Celebration of Community. The impressive venue, carol singing, and festive atmosphere make for a wonderful holiday tradition. Is that bhangra music coming from the multi-purpose classroom at the junior school??
Yes it is…. parent Zaheeda came in show the girls some moves as the Grade 3’s explored cultural holiday traditions. Ms. Nolan’s and Ms. Sobieski’s classes not only grooved to the music – they practiced Chinese calligraphy, played the dreidel game, and created gingerbread houses – all with the help of a few parent volunteers.
