A York House Halloween

Some great costumes this Halloween from both students and staff, including a “double rainbow”, Skittles and M&Ms, Snooki from Jersey Shore, Velma from Scooby Doo and a couple of “Where’s Waldos?”. The Junior School got in the spirit with a pumpkin carving competition, haunted house and some pretty great costumes too!

Walk Confident

On September 23, speaker and coach Bruce Brown, presented Life Lessons for Athletes to our Tigers and coaches.

In his presentation he talked about confidence and trust. He told our athletes that if they want to improve their team – they have to improve their character. He touched upon pride & humility, mental toughness, accountability, discipline, leadership as well as confidence.

Here’s a short clip from his presentation at YHS where he talks about the difference between arrogance and true confidence:

Remember: the right kind of confidence is carried quietly, humbly. If you’re good – you don’t need to tell anybody.
