Feeling the Love at York House

In the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, our Class Presidents and Student Exec held a “Show Us Your Love” challenge. Students in their TAG decorated their space – trying to come up with the “most creative”, “most original”, or “most love-ly” space. Winners of this “Display of Love” challenge were announced during the Feb 8 assembly. The Senior School looked “love-ly” indeed!

Junior students also got in the spirit. They held a “Love & Kindness” assembly and made valentine’s decorations and cards.

We were also feeling the love in the Senior School with musical chairs, guessing how many candies were in the candy jar, a Hershey’s kisses hunt, and our House cookie decorating competition for Valentine’s Spirit Week. Thank you to our Grade 12 leaders Chloe, Terra, Jordan, and Jane for organizing.

A Successful Tiger Party 2023: Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit

On behalf of the YHS Parents’ Association, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the Tiger Party on February 8, 2023, at Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit.

This event helps raise funds for the Parents’ Association Tiger Scholarship which provides the gift of a York House education at YHS. Your contribution and generosity will make a real and tangible difference in the lives of many deserving students.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our Tiger Party convenors Helen Shen and Michelle Min, and our event emcees Cecilia Cheng and Monica Li. We also wish to share our appreciation for Jason Yang and Vera Gong for their partnership in hosting the event at the  Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine. The commitment from all our Tiger Party volunteers helped make for a truly unforgettable evening for our community.
