Service Saturday Photos

On April 26th, Senior students had the opportunity to volunteer at three different organizations for the last Service Saturday of the Year:

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank – stocking shelves and sorting donated food items.
Pacific Spirit Park – removing invasive species from the park (photos below).
Union Gospel Mission – volunteering in the kitchen and drop-in centre (photos below).

Service Saturday is a great way to connect with fellow students outside of the classroom, learn about a community organization, and volunteer at the same time. Stay tuned for more Service Saturday opportunities in 2014-15.

Watch our Award-Winning Gr. 7 Choir

Our Grade 7 Choir was named Best Elementary School Choir at the Kiwanis Music Festival. Watch our them take advantage of the wonderful acoustics in our Senior School entrance, as they tape a recording of their performance of three songs.

They submitted two of the songs recorded, and are keeping their fingers crossed that they will win the Provincials. If they win, they will go on to represent BC at the National Festival of Music (again, by recording). Good luck girls! Watch them there:
