The Senior Swim team destroyed everyone at the Van-Richmond Zone championship meet winning the girls division by over 100 pts. YHS qualified in 12 relays and 20 people for the 2011 BC Championships, a strong team to try and defend our BC title!
Congrats to the girls and Coach Abt, Au ’07 and Lum ’05.
The Grade 8 Volleyball team won the ISA Championships … congrats to the teams and Coach Bester.
The junior girls gathered on the field for the annual house event Food Bank Frenzy. The girls dress in their house colours and line-up for a relay race. Each time must deliver all their food items to their designated house official who is waiting in the center of the field. Each girl runs around a series of cones to deliver one food item at a time. This high energy event is set to music, and the girls really get into the spirit! Points are given for fastest house and to the house with the most spirit. The event benefits the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Watch the video slideshow and video clip below:
