Thank you to Janet and Wendy for all of their help. Also a big thank you to the Student Ambassadors, who were kept busy welcoming visitors, setting up, serving lunch and helping wherever they were needed – Selina, Rosy Ren, Anika, Elizabeth, Catherine and Grace.

The entire Eirew family were wonderful (Gaby, Peter, Pepi, Milo and David), providing the refreshments with all of the proceeds going to Cancer Research ($250). Panago supported this event by donating the pizzas, and Chocolate Arts donated funds towards the very popular chocolate Chess pieces. We couldn’t have done this without you 🙂

Another successful Chess Season at YHS!

It was a very busy day and each student participated in 5 rounds:

York House registered one team in Section A. The members of the team were Pepi, Maggie, Chloe, Annika and Joyce.

The girls played very well indeed and came 5th in the A Section, scoring 9.5 out of a possible 16 points. They were very happy with this result and were presented with individual trophies.

Well done girls!

Four Yorkies also recently played in the BC Chess Championships: Joyce, Gr. 3, Annika, Gr. 6, Pepi, Gr. 7 and Alice, Gr. 12. See their results.
