Yorkies at VMUN

Our Model Un Club attended VMUN (Vancouver Model United Nations) from Feb 3-5 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver.

VMUN is the largest high school student-organized Model United Nations in North America. Student delegates work together to create solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. This allows students to think critically, collaborate with others, propose constructive resolutions, and develop diplomatic skills. Learn more about the conference here.

We are so proud of all the students who participated and thank you to our staff who dedicated three full days to chaperone the trip: Mr. Coates, Ms. Yeh, and Ms. Carlberg-Nangle.

ClubFest

The Senior School held our annual ClubFest on October 5. Students had the opportunity to see all the clubs on offer this year and sign up. There is something for everyone! There are over 50 clubs to choose from ranging from Board Games, Chess Club, Pastry Club, Sailing Club, Rock Band Club, Improv, Film, Philosophy, Model UN, Coding, Robotics and more.

A huge thank you to all the teacher sponsors who work along with the student leaders to make these clubs possible. There’s lots of stuff to get involved in and look forward to this year!
