Thank you to our Parents’ Association as well as to the convenors, Whitney Lewis, Alexa Evans, Kelly May, and Jenny Kusumoto for putting on a terrific Welcome Back BBQ on Friday, September 9 – our first one in three years! Also a special thank you to all the parent and student volunteers who helped make this year’s Welcome BBQ a big success.
It was wonderful to see everyone catching up with old friends and making new ones while celebrating the start of the school year. We are looking forward to a great 2022-23!
On Friday, June 10, we welcomed over 300 family, friends, staff, and students for our first live, full, in-person graduation ceremony in three years.
Our grads shared personal words before they crossed the stage, one final time, to accept their graduation diploma from Head of School, Mme Julie Rousseau. Each graduate was also presented with a yellow rose from the President of the Alumnae Association, Devon Taylor and congratulated by our Board Chair, Michelle Ostrow.
Following the ceremony, the Class of 2022 gathered on the YHS athletics field for the traditional hat toss photo. Thank you to YHS Fine Arts, Media Arts & Film Teacher and professional photographer, Jonathan Lee for his willingness to go that extra mile and climb into our skylift to get the perfect shot from above! Afterwards, our grads, their families and friends, and faculty and staff gathered in the Gail Ruddy Foyer for refreshments.
Class of 2022, we are so proud of your resilience and amazing accomplishments and look forward to hearing about your future adventures. Onward and upward, Yorkies!
