Earth Science and Geography Students Visit CBC News

Earth Science 11 and Geography 12 went on a field trip to the CBC News studio. While there, we learned about the behind the scenes work that goes into producing and broadcasting news, as well as the current weather that is affecting Vancouver, and the rest of Canada. We had the opportunity to explore the newsroom and see how all the graphics are made, and see how all the stories are composed. The majority of our tour was lead by Johanna Wagstaffe, who shared her story of how she became a prominent figure in Canadian news. We are thankful for the CBC team for hosting us on this amazing day!

A great shot from the Stanley Park Sea Wall from the Geography 12 class.

They are taking advantage of this beautiful weather we are having and trying to get outside to explore Vancouver.

While they were on the Sea Wall, they ran into Yorkies from 1999, who were also out enjoying the day. I’m thinking the Blackwatch tartan was easy to spot!
