Students, faculty, and staff got into the Halloween spirit! The Junior School held its annual pumpkin carving contest, and the Senior School had a “runway” in the atrium at lunch, where students and staff could show off their costumes and strike a pose. We hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!
On Friday, October 29th, York House had a fun-filled spooktacular Halloween!
Senior Students celebrated with a “Spooky Spirit Week”: a ‘spooky cookie challenge’ on Monday, a pumpkin carving contest on Tuesday, a “finish the lyric” contest on Wednesday, a surprise ‘skeleton scavenger hunt’ on Thursday, and of course our annual Halloween ‘fashion show’ on Friday.
The Junior School had a fabulously successful early morning Halloween parade and costume competition on the field (no rain!) organized and hosted by our Vice Head Girl Rose, followed by pumpkin carving and judging organized by our Grade 3 teachers, Ms. Shore, and Ms. Trinder. Both the wide array of costumes and pumpkin carving designs, spoke volumes about the creativity of our Yorkies—way to go! It is getting harder each year to judge these events as there are so many incredible entries.
