Rangoli Rave Photos

The YHS Parents’ Association hosted another successful event, the “Rangoli Rave” — a Bollywood themed Mother Daughter event. Moms and daughters came dressed in their brightest and celebrated in style. Holly Conway and Nira Arora from 94.5 Virgin Radio MC’d the event. Guests enjoyed a lavish three-course Indian dinner buffet, Bollywood entertainment, DJ and dancing, and fantastic raffle prizes.

Thank you to this years’ Special Events Committee: Sophia Alibhai, Mardi Cassady, Jill Donaldson, Julia Kim, Nancy McLeod and Lisa Ridgedale, for organizing such a beautiful event!

Yorkies moms have long envied the great Father-Daughter dances at YHS, but, once again, they have managed to pull off something the dads may be wishing they could have attended.

This spring saw our first ever Bollywood Ball and it was a colourful, booming, bhangra success. There were spectacular saris, sashaying South Asian dancers, amazing Indian food and a whopping haul in spectacular prizes for the kids and moms.

A humongous thank you to the Special Events Team for creating such a unique, inclusive and memorable event.
