Thank you to everyone who stepped up for the first-ever “YHS PA Ugly Holiday Sweater Challenge”, it was wonderful to see all your smiling faces and as you can see, the YHS spirit is strong and bright! We wish we could give everyone a prize for organizing their submissions, including Yorkie Grandparents, dancing Yorkies, and pet Yorkies!
- First prize goes to Aria B in Grade 2 for being the first to send in a picture!
- Second prize randomly chosen goes to the Burdick family in SK!
- Third prize also randomly chosen goes to Julia and Zoe C in Grade 9 and 10!
(Prizes will be delivered to the school when we are back in January)
We have loved hearing about—and attending—all the virtual events our awesome class parents have been hosting to keep us connected during this disconnected time. Big thanks and appreciation to Class Parents for their creativity and bravery for taking on this new challenge of hosting socials online. From adult wine tastings to family trivia nights, from painting parties to talent shows—oh my! And many charitable endeavours in the spirit of “Not for Ourselves Alone”.
These are indeed challenging times but our Yorkie Community has stayed strong and for that we are grateful.
We want to wish everyone a wonderful, safe and restful holiday break.
