On Tuesday evening, senior girls heading to the cafeteria to join Mrs. Kealey and Ms. Ruddy to cook a full turkey dinner for the Ronald McDonald House. For over twenty-eight years, Ronald McDonald House BC (RMH BC) has been providing accommodation for seriously ill children and their families.
Senior students Myriam, Verly, Jemimah and Allison are part of the Each One Teach One Program, a mentorship program with Saints and 12 students from Admiral Seymour Elementary School – in which students connect approx. once a month.
So far, they have visited Admiral Seymour, Science World and on Thursday, they hosted the group at YHS. The students joined Shannon Harrigan for a Drama Workshop in the morning, they then toured the school, followed by lunch in the foyer.
Jr. School Librarian Sheilagh Martin and her Library club gave a gift (a book with a candy cane) to each of the guests.
