Puppy Therapy

Members of the Senior School Student Executive organized “puppy therapy” over the lunch hour on Monday, May 1, to help the girls de-stress at the start of the exam period. We were lucky to have several friendly canines available for petting, scratching, and snuggling!

Puppy therapy is scientifically proven to help de-stress and has been successful at schools like UBC and SFU. View this article for more info.

The girls (and staff) had a great time playing with the puppies. Thank you to the House Captains and Grade 9 Class Presidents for organizing.

Blazer Exchange Tradition Welcomes in New Student Executive

BlazerExchange_27May2016-1391Congratulations to all our candidates for a very impressive election run, and to our newly elected Student Executive for the 2016-2017 year!

The candidates were put through a rigorous process. There was a formal application, election poster and campaign video, an interview with Head of School Ms. Gionet, a Q&A at the Forum Assembly, and a Meet-and-Greet. Our candidates rose to the challenge and impressed us with their professionalism and enthusiasm.

The new Student Executive officially took over their roles on at the Blazer Exchange assembly on May 27th. The Blazer Exchange assembly is a special day for both our current and newly elected Student Executive.

Members of the current Executive took a moment to reflect on accomplishments from the year, thank those who helped them along the way, and offer words of encouragement to the incoming Executive. Gifts and blazers were exchanged to mark the passing of the “leadership” torch.
