In the 97-91 overtime loss to Killarney, Brianna had a career high 31 pts, joining a select few Tigers to score over 30 pts in a single game.
On Saturday, it was Gina who had a great game, recording a double double with 26pts and a career high 20 rebounds in a dominating 72-29 win over Magee. Gina came just two rebounds shy of equaling a YHS varsity record of 22 rebounds in a single game.
Brianna was named to the tournament All-Star Team. Congratulations also go to Manpreet and Sophie who earned $500 VGBA scholarships for their post secondary education.

Junior Tigers
The Jr. Tigers had a great weekend defeating Killarney, Notre Dame and then Crofton House to earn a spot in the VGBA Langara Challenge Jr. Championship game vs. Kits. The Tigers started out on fire and built a 12 pt lead but second half foul trouble opened the door to a Kits comeback. The Kits Jr.’s are all grade 10’s and led by a 6’2 provincial team player, clawed back and tied the game in the final 5 minutes. The Tigers fought hard but had to settle for 2nd place. Still a great weekend for the Tigers.
Kristen was named tot he Tournament All-Star Team.
Next up for the Jr. Tigers are their ISA Championships Jan 30-31 hosted by CHS.
