TRACK & FIELD BC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Congratulations to our Track & Field team who endured hot Okanagan weather and performed very well at BCs last weekend. There were many season bests (SB), personal bests (PBs) and even some YHS school records and medals. The 30-degree heat did not slow down our Tigers. Congrats girls and special thank you to our coaches Mr. Jacob Emerson, Ms. Brianne Wager, Dr. Lesk, and to our YHS driver, Mr. Roman Niedbalski.

– High jump – 1.45m, placed 13 overall in BC
Adria – Gr. 9
– 80m Hurdles – Prelims – 12.41 – new school record and PB. Finals – 12.27 New school record – personal best and finished 4th overall in BC.
– 300m Hurdles – Prelims – 46.52 – New School Record! Fastest in all the heats and a personal best
– Finals – 45.81 – New School Record! Placed 1st in BC and another personal best
JR 4x400m – Izzy, Sophie, Finny, Adria
– Ranked 10th ended up placing 8th overall in BC

– 80m hurdles – 14.88 – PB placed 10th overall in BC
– 200m hurdles – 33.53 – New School Record and Personal best – placed 11th overall in BC.
Jenna – Gr. 8
– High Jump – 1.35m places 13th overall in BC
Tori – Gr. 8
– 3000m – 16th overall in BC
Layla – Gr. 8
– 3000m – 15th overall in BC.
Grade 8 4x400m – Erianthe, Jenna, Tori, Layla
