BASKETBALL
This past week, our Grade 5 (Monday) and Grade 6 (Tuesday) teams wrapped up their seasons at their respective ISEA Basketball Playdays. The girls did very well, and all of the coaches were raving about the incredible improvement since the start of the season. Congratulations to the students and coaches for their dedication to improving at basketball.
The Grade 7 team wrapped up their regular season play with a victory over Southridge School (23 – 12). The will head to the ISEA Basketball Tournament as the #4 or #5 seed. Many opposing coaches have commented on how well (fierce and impressive) our team plays defense. The tournament takes place on Thursday, February 27, so there is plenty of time for the Tigers to continue sharpening their claws, and there is no doubt that our opponents will have to work very hard to get past the Tigers. Good luck!
SWIM TEAM
On Thursday, February 6, the Swim Team participated in their third meet of the season, the WPGA Invitational Elementary Swim Meet. It was a great meet for many individuals, and all of those great results propelled York House to the Girls’ Team Title! Way to go Tigers!
The team’s next meet will be the ISEA Swimming Championships on Thursday, February 20. As the defending champions, our Tigers know how to work hard, do their best, and have fun! Best of luck to the entire team.
GO TIGERS!
