Earth Science and Geography Students Visit CBC News

Earth Science 11 and Geography 12 went on a field trip to the CBC News studio. While there, we learned about the behind the scenes work that goes into producing and broadcasting news, as well as the current weather that is affecting Vancouver, and the rest of Canada. We had the opportunity to explore the newsroom and see how all the graphics are made, and see how all the stories are composed. The majority of our tour was lead by Johanna Wagstaffe, who shared her story of how she became a prominent figure in Canadian news. We are thankful for the CBC team for hosting us on this amazing day!

YHS Welcomes Grandparents and Grandpals

It was wonderful to have so many grandparents and grandpals attend our annual Grandparents’ Day. The girls truly loved performing in the theatre and of course, the biggest highlight for them is to have grandparents join them in their classrooms. Thank you so much to everyone for joining us.

Grandparents’ Day is one of our most cherished York House School traditions and we look forward to this event next year on April 8, 2020. We are delighted to share with you a video that we created from this year’s Grandparents’ Day as well as a variety of photos.
