February 22 is the next Service Saturday opportunity so if you haven’t gone yet or would like to go again, please consider it!
Service Saturday is a great way to connect with fellow students outside of the classroom and volunteer within your community at the same time!
We are offering the following four opportunities:
- 8:30am – 12:30pm
- Transport to/from by YHS Van
- Help sort and organize food bank donations at warehouse
- Open to students over 16 years of age.
- 20 spaces
- Downtown Vancouver
- 9:30 – 2:30pm
- Public transit
- Help prepare and serve hot lunch to patrons of the Salvation Army
- Open to all ages.
- 10 spaces.
- 2:30 – 4:30pm
- Meet at site.
- Assist seniors with games and serve tea.
- All ages.
- 5 spaces.
- Downtown Vancouver
- 9:30 – 12:30pm
- help sort donated clothes and toiletries
- Open to all ages.
- 8 spaces.
