Gr. 7 Choir at Kiwanis Festival

The Grade 7 Choir successfully performed three pieces at the Kiwanis festival in April. They were nominated at the provincial level, as well as the national level for the Florine Deprés award, which is given to school choirs.

I am pleased to announce that they placed second in the National Festival! I am proud of the hard work that this group of Grade 7 students put into Choir. Please enjoy their Kiwanis Festival performance which granted them this achievement!

Senior Jazz Night

The York House Music Department held an intimate evening of music featuring our jazz band, and Ragazza, our senior vocal jazz group. The Gail Ruddy Foyer was transformed into a cabaret-style jazz club. Guests had a chance to mingle, and sample delicious hors d’oeuvres, all while listening to jazz standards, new favourites, and solo performances from our talented musicians and singers.

This evening gives our senior students the chance to perform in a more intimate and casual setting. Enjoy some of the highlights from the performances in this playlist:
