The textiles department once again put on a fabulous fashion show. The Gail Ruddy Foyer was transformed into a catwalk, complete with lighting and runway seating. Our textiles students had the chance to showcase their creative talents by sharing their collections with an audience. Designs included pyjamas, athletic wear, dresses, and even costumes for superheroes!
Our senior students put on three outstanding shows for our annual year-end music concerts. The senior ensembles performed on Wednesday, April 25 and our junior ensembles had a chance to showcase on the evening of Thursday, May 24. The York House Music Department also held an intimate evening of music featuring our jazz band, and Ragazza, our senior vocal jazz group, on Monday, May 28.
The Senior Ensemble Night was a wonderful evening of music for all, but particularly special and meaningful for our Grade 12s as this was their final concert in their high school careers. They have come in for classes many early mornings over the last five years and have spent countless hours practicing. The choirs and band did an outstanding job!
Thank you to our Grade 12s for their commitment to our music program and for being leaders for our younger musicians. Special thank you to our four student Music Heads (Caitlyn, Miranda, Sarah, and Anna) for organizing such a fabulous night, along with Ms. Ninan, Mr. Gueulette, Ms. Haylett.
