Crêpe Day

Grades 1 – 6 spent a 40-minute session with Nathalie, French owner of the Chouchou Crêpes food truck today. Not only did they order and eat delicious and authentic French crêpes; students also prepared questions (in French, of course!) for a Q&A with Nathalie. They learned about what it’s like to start your own business, as well as life on-the-go in the food truck business, all while practicing their French skills. Bon appetit, tout le monde!

Language Awareness Week

Our Modern Languages Department hosted Language Awareness Week from April 26-29, 2016.

On Monday, there were crêpes and quesadillas in Mira’s Kitchen; Tuesday there was a Flag Game at recess and School Reach Trivia at lunch; Wednesday there was a Dance Party at lunch in the Sr. School Atrium; Thursday had short films in the language classrooms; and the week ended with a rousing game of musical chairs during lunch-hour.
