Yorkies at VMUN

This year 67 Yorkies attended VMUN (Vancouver Model United Nations) from January 19-21 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver.

VMUN is the largest high school student-organized Model United Nations in North America. Student delegates work together to create solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. This allows students to think critically, collaborate with others, propose constructive resolutions, and develop diplomatic skills. Learn more about the conference here.

A huge congratulations to Zoe, Gr. 8, who won best researched delegate in her House of Commons committee.

We are so proud of all the students who participated and thank you to our staff who dedicated three full days to chaperone the trip: Mr. Coates, Ms. McInnis, Ms. Kaddage, Ms. Amel, Mr. Gueulette, Ms. Yeung, and Ms. Waterhouse.
