Kaleigh, Gr. 12,  has officially signed her letter of intent with the University of Western Ontario today, where she has been recruited to play CIS Volleyball and attend the Richard Ivey School of Business.

As a captain of our Senior team this year and a member of our volleyball program for her entire time at York House, we are all very proud of her accomplishments and are looking forward to hearing of her success in the future.

Congratulations, Kaleigh!

Ski & Snowboard Team Update

Ski & Snowboard Team after their race on Friday, Jan 30, 2015.
Ski & Snowboard Team after their race on Friday, Jan 30 (the smallest team they’ve had out this year).

The Ski & Snowboard Team have just finished their last regular season competition. Here’s a recap from Coach Ruse:

While conditions have been anything but good this year, the girls have maintained the tradition of York House skiing by dominating all our league races. The girls raced again on Friday, Jan. 30th and looked great. Sophie was the lone boarder but lay down a remarkable run and looks poised to defend her zone championship from last year. The skiers were again solid, with Rosie taking the day, followed by Arizah, Meg, and Amelia. It was also cool to see the different grades building relationships as this is one of the few sports where all the grades compete together.

We have our Zone Championships on Feb 16th and will be fielding the largest team we’ve ever had (25 girls!). We then compete in a TerrainGS competition on the 20th of February in preparation for the TerrainGS that will happen at Provincials.
