On the morning of Friday, June 14 we held our Volunteer Recognition Reception. Each year we invite our parent volunteers together to celebrate and honour all that they do for the school throughout the year. The generosity of our parent community results in hundreds of hours of support for fundraising events like Bid Night and the Tiger Party to providing support for their daughters in the classroom and on the field.
For this year’s reception, Music Teacher Benila Ninan once again arranged a special performance to thank our volunteers. You may remember last year’s “York House Girl” set to the tune of Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl”. This year Benila had the girls perform “York House Girl” to the tune of Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”. Watch it here.
Without our parent volunteers, we simply would not be able to do all that we do. Your spirit and enthusiasm are unparalleled and deeply appreciated. It’s what makes our school such a great place to be!
