Sixty members of the Senior School choir under the direction of music teacher, Benila Ninan, participated in the 6th annual Alumnae Carol Service with St. John Shaughnessy’s Church choir on Thursday, December 5. A highlight of the service was the YHS Choir singing Carol of the Bells by Mykola Leontovych. Alumnae from 2004 to 1955, honorary alumnae, former and current YHS staff, and parents of choir members joined with the St. John’s Shaughnessy community to sing favourite carols and enjoy the beauty of seasonal choral pieces by both choirs. The evening closed with a festive reception generously provided by the St. John’s Shaughnessy Church community.
