This year, the Junior School soccer program consisted of two teams, a Grade 5 team coached by Ms. Anja Sigloch and a Grade 6-7 team, coached by Mr. Chris Cropley.
Helping them was a group of student coaches, including Grade 12’s Arden H. and Haley M., Grade 11 Rebecca J., Grade 10 Emma S., as well as Teacher Mr. Scott Robertson. The Grade 6-7’s practiced on the field early every Friday morning while the Grade 5’s practiced Tuesday mornings.
This season, the Grade 6-7’s returned to the ISEA tournament for a fun soccer-filled day at Southridge School. Once again, the team showed great teamwork and camaraderie. As for the Grade 5 team, on October 14th, they enjoyed an exciting trip to the island to play in the ISEA Soccer Jamboree. There, they joined together with players from other schools to compete with others as mixed teams. As always, this tournament was a great way for players to enjoy soccer and meet new people.
As coaches, we want to thank the girls for their dedication and enthusiasm. This season of Junior School soccer was a blast, it was a pleasure to coach them, and we had a lot of fun!
Congratulations, and we hope to see many of you next year!
