Congratulations are in order for Ariana A., Gr. 8, and her doubles partner Alex. They participated in the 2012 BC Winter Games in the Badminton competition and won gold in the girls doubles. The entire Vancouver team also won gold in all the team events.
Ariana’s gold medal is pretty impressive considering this is her first outing at the Games. She has had professional lessons from a professional coach for only one year. She fell in love with the game after her brother introduced her to it. Next up for Ariana? The national competition next year. Good luck!
