A group of Grade 11 and 12 students also went to UBC on Saturday (our Math Challengers team was also there) to complete in the Physics Olympics.
The team had been working on the ‘pre-build’ part of the competition for a couple weeks. They had to make a wind turbine and a device that lowered a ball a vertical distance of 1m as slow as possible. I’ve attached a video and picture of their solutions.
