We are just days away from breaking ground close to the front of the Senior School entrance and building a brand new 1300 square foot STEAM Lab for our Yorkies.
This unique and stunning learning space will allow students to be curious and innovative, empowering them to develop and use design-thinking skills and entrepreneurial mindsets to understand and act on issues that matter to them and a global community. STEAM provides the opportunity for critical cross-subject learning, which prepares girls for today’s interdisciplinary world beyond the school gates in post-secondary education and future employers.
Thanks to the early support from more than 40 current families and friends of YHS, almost two-thirds of the funds have been raised towards the $1.5M goal.
