On Monday and Tuesday, June 7 and 8, the Grade 3 to 7 Tigers participated in their second to last House Event of the school year; The Tiger Trot. The Community Service Captains chose to use this event to raise proceeds for the Salvation Army. The Grade started us off early Monday morning, followed by the Grade 3s, then 4s, and finally our second class of Grade 7s. The energy was high throughout the day as each completed lap earned a point for the respective House. On Tuesday, the Grades 5s and 6s closed out the event in style, burning laps around the school at an unprecedented pace. By the time all was said and done, the Tiger Trot was easily the greatest barn-burner competition of this year. In all, the students ran 1,632 laps of the school, and over $300 was raised for the Salvation Army. Coming in first was the Red House. In second place, losing out by only 1 point, was the Blue House, earning them 40 points, and in third and fourth places, earning 35 points were Yellow and Green House. While this event was a House Competition, we are very proud of all of our participants who lived the school motto “not for ourselves alone” Way to go, Tigers!
