Grade 8 Outdoor Ed:
This September the Grade 8s kick-started their first year in the Senior School with a full-day excursion to Camp Summit in Squamish. Students had the opportunity to bond with their TAGs and advisors as they participated in exciting activities at camp! Throughout the day students climbed to new heights on the high ropes course and rock wall, tested their balancing skills at low ropes, embraced their creativity at knife carving, and explored the trails on mountain bikes! The day concluded with a camp-wide survival game, where squeals of laughter could be heard as students sprinted around camp in search of “resources” to survive.
Grade 9 and 10 Outdoor Ed:
The Grade 9 and 10 students traveled to Pitt Lake this September, where they spent a full-day on the water canoeing. Students bonded with their classmates and worked together to navigate a Voyageur canoe up the lake and back. They then further challenged themselves in tandem canoes, learning new tricks, such as the canoe-over-canoe maneuver! Their positivity, perseverance and enthusiasm was impressive, as they immersed themselves in the day and embraced the outdoors, during both the rain and sunshine. What a great way to start the year together!
