Grade 4s at Camp Fircom with Sea to Sky Outdoor School (May 4-6):
At the start of May, the Grade 4s embarked on their first overnight camping trip ever at YHS! The students traveled to Camp Fircom, on Gambier Island, where they participated in a magical three days with the Sea to Sky Outdoor School staff. Spending the entire three days outdoors, students learned all about the natural environment and the ways that they can help to protect and respect the land. Although it was a wet couple of days, the students were troopers and had a fantastic time learning new skills and trying new challenges, such as fire building, knife carving, polar dips, and slug kissing.
