On Thursday, November 22, our YHS community gathered at the Annual Bid Night and what a night it was! The space was truly transformed into “La Maison York” with the unique lighting, décor, and the authentic French accordion player Francois! The atmosphere in the Gail Ruddy Foyer was fun and festive with an air of anticipation while parents bid away on their phones and tablets, hoping to win one of the incredible items on display.
The Parents’ Association would like to thank everyone who attended the event. We received an incredible 327 RSVPs, allowing the event to gross $149,000 which will be put towards new cafeteria equipment, directly benefiting our girls.
There are so many people to thank for making this event happen. All the parent volunteers, the generous sponsors and donors inside and out of our community, the teachers and administration for donating incredible experiences and lending their support. And thank you to Mme Rousseau and her team for inspiring the theme and supporting us at every level. We have a very kind and generous community contributing their time, hard work, and funds—and for this, we are truly grateful.
